good job. I have been using my roto vac 360 for encap for at least 5 or 6 years now. The correct term for the technique you are using is "pad capping" because you are using an absorbent pad a.k.a. bonnet and not a brush like a crb uses or or scrubbing pad like the cimex. Some cleaners like pad capping because it removes some soil by absorbing it into the pad. There are other cleaners that consider this smearing dirt around or 'scampoo'.

I caught that as well and I recognize that sound because I experienced it myself. My 360 was "ticking" just like that and I was told that one of the gears inside had been slightly damaged usually by a hard strike against an uneven surface such as a threshold etc. I went ahead and did a trade-in for a 360i. @Turbo-Man could explain the issue better me.

We put a bigger motor haha i dont know maybe Jon is right a gear might be worn. You dont have any tiking what so ever? Seems louder then it really in the video and maintenance was vacuuming hallways.

For those wanting to do the "Pad Cap" cleaning using the 360 i or 360 XL it really is about using the pad driver head you can order for your machine. It fits perfectly and can hold a 15 " pad or bonnet as it is also called. Concerning the clicking, Jonathan is right one of the drive gears took a hit when the head caught something while spinning. I have learned to be careful of the bed wheels and other hidden objects that we don't think about.

You really have to run your 360 for a lot of hours before any wear takes the gear out so it's almost always a careless hit on an immovable object that does it in. If mechanically inclined you can do the change out yourself but most just have Rotovac Service do it.
By the way I'm loving my 360 XL more for that reason since the gearbox is engineered differently using an induction motor instead of the brush driven motor of the "i" model. I just can't hurt it. To me Well worth the extra money and still way less expensive than any other rotary extractor out there.

I use an op machine for pad capping but I have two rotovac 360s Now I definitely want an XL. My oldest 360 is about 3 years old, used 6 days a week and I have never had a problem other than breaking the welds on the handlebars but that happened to both of my 360s. I blame the employees
