Winding down another year, reflecting.
Been a one man show here since 2003-2004. still am. systems in place. not that tough.
Everyone looks at my shop and my scattered brain and says I need help.
Yea I do, but I'm doing OK, really.
Main goal has always been the same, keep my costs down and quality up so you guys get Value.
Biggest breakthrough in these years was rethinking my sales Plan... giving my best to YOU CLEANERS.
Lookin at suppliers, they never did a thing to help me grow, still don't support my product line, pay late and expect me to support them. Expect me to give to them, while they hide me so you don't find out where this Cool stuff comes from... Screw them.
Early this year I finally accepted it would be better to go direct to you guys, exclusively, and let suppliers tag along if they wanted to. Now it's all better. Record sales, Gratitude. Growth.
You guys get good value and in turn you pay on time and are grateful knowing we're something of a team.
The best products come from the best user input and honestcleaner is proof of this. So we'll keep it.
Still have to kick a few guys to the curb but it's less than 5%, whereas it was well over 80% with suppliers.
Runnin cards today, something's way different? Oh yea, no stress. Used to be I ran cards for 50% and mailed invoices the other half. A full time bookkeeper couldn't keep up yet I added it to my 80 hour weeks. Struggled to get it done. Now it's more like 70-80% store orders and only 20-30% cards to run and invoices to send out. Way less bookkeeping. Way more guys getting what they want & need and way more of you spending less money getting it. Proof again, the answer is in YOU CLEANERS.
All the times I've begged you guys to make friends with your competition, work together and you will take back this trade to what it should have always been - just YOU CLEANERS running things the way you know it should be run.
Fired big brother and gave YOU CLEANERS their prices - the best new plan I've implemented in years.
Still get their $500 to $1,000 Purchase orders. Still tell em to use the store just like YOU CLEANERS do.
It works. It works great! They don't. YOU CLEANERS do. Finally, a plan that works.
