BTW .. something I forgot to mention .. when cleaning with high temp extraction when the carpet has been pre-treated with one of the probiotic cleaners, the fogging with the MS+ Microflora Spray will re-populate the carpet with probiotics that will inhibit re-colonization by pathogens.
1 quart of MS+ will give about 2,000 sq ft of coverage. This product is meant to be "fogged" into the air (10 to 40 micron droplet size optimal using a ULV fogger - there are a couple of good ones on Amazon .. like a Longray CarryAll for about $220 that have a 1 gallon capacity) so the mist lightly falls all over the carpet.
It should be done in a way that does not make hard surfaces visably moist .. not that doing so will harm the surfaces (remember it is pH Neutral) but it is an indication of being a little too "heavy" in the application.
If you don't have a ULV Fogger, the use a hand spritzer with the finest possible mist you can find.
The MS+ can be used as a post treatment and / or an ongoing means of addressing odors that re-emerge through day-to-day usage (such as dogs coming into the house, or cooking smells) after cleaning.
I have a school that uses it in between cleaning of classrooms ...
