New High Heat hose leaking at the crimp.
Hose is only a couple weeks of use...
Customer sent me this picture.
Terry asks ...
Are these fittings repairable or do I need to take it and have it re-crimped?
My response ...
That's a brand new ss reusable Gator.
Looks like the only problem is the outer sleeve is too loose.
To fix this problem., put the hose end in your vice and clamp down on the outer sleeve.
Remove the Insert by unscrewing it (counterclockwise).
Now tighten the outer sleeve by turning it counterclockwise also about 1 revolution.
You want the end of the outer sleeve to be at about 7/8" onto the hose.
See my pdf instructions at the store.
Reinstall the Insert and the hose should not leak anymore.
Terry got it done..
By the way, repair took less than 5 min.
I'm surprised I don't get more complaints since I ship out dozens of finished hoses every month, hundreds of crimps. These Gator crimps are all I use and I use that same vice that's in the picture for every single one.
If I can do it, so can you.
Let's see some more problems cuz the sooner we do, the sooner you all will realize how simple and effective and trouble-free AND inexpensive these Gator crimps really are, thus the sooner they become standard.
