Well i think I may have to change my stand point to a degree on the high heat subject.
As i mentioned earlier i've alway been a porty cleaner and just used hot tap water in my solution tank
Always compensated for lack of high heat with mechanical agitation and a little more dwell time
Always got good results, as it has been said, what you lack in one area of the cleaning pie you make up for it in another area
Well i just installed and set up a little giant heater in my new van and used it for the 1st time yesterday on a light colored berber type carpet.
I bought in my CRB as i was going to use it for agitation after pre spraying, but after pre spraying i decided to just hit with the wand to see what kind of result i would get since now i have high heat
Well I was blown away to say the least how good it was coming out, needless to say the CRB did not get used at all, it was a beach house 4 bedrooms, living room, hallway, stairs and a loft area, came out great
Now granted the carpet was not that bad and it was only my 1st job with the little giant heater
but i don't think the results would have been any better had i used the CRB prior to my rinse and extract.
My next real nasty one i get i'll do a side by side comparison, i'll pre spray and agitate then rinse and extract then try no agitation and just rinse and extract after pre spray and compare the results.
