Since Mike West lives in my neck of the woods he consulted with me and suggested my pricing model. The idea is to list the total price and then discount it in various steps.
For instance: Will the customer vacuum for me? 10% off. Is the carpet only lightly soiled? 10% off. etc and so on.
So unlike the "hook" model where you come in with a ridiculously low entry price and sell up, you actually begin with your "all inclusive" deal and let them remove the options they don't feel they need. It puts the customer in control of the price and sets them at ease.
